remember how we ran the night but still it´s all the same. my restless hands, my fingertips my eyes upon the lake. the two of us with sunken eyes. but still we´re both the same. as the sky would wear its brightest red. I knew something had changed. so would you rather run or hide in every corner shaken by the life i lead? truth be told i´d rather hear what you won´t offer dance in every carnival. remember how the night lit up? for better or for worse. Yyour restless glow, your false alarms. a blessing and a curse. the two of us with withered plans for better or for worse. with heavy lungs and twisted tongues i knew something had changed. so would you rather run or hide in every corner shaken by the life i lead? truth be told i´d rather hear what you won´t offer dance in every carnival.

you can not expect what i´ve rendered with no time upon our hands. the way i held you like a coward with a spell over our heads. and when we live, we live on paper and the clockwork hums our song. i refuse to be your ghost oh felice, you´ve got me wrong, you´ve got me. with every page grows the weight on my shoulder. with every moon we grow further apart. don´t tell me you´ll wait when my hands are unfolded i love you better from afar. no distance ever could erase you. it´s all wrong, but it´s all right. it is my sickness that will save me. from the way you broke my spine. and when we live we live on paper. and the trial hums our song. i refuse to be your ghost. oh felice, you´ve got me wrong. with every page grows the weight on my shoulder. with every moon we grow further apart. don´t tell me you´ll wait when my hands are unfolded. i love you better from afar.

out to sea, come be my centerpiece. don't mean that much to me. and I know what it's like to beat the passing time so help me synchronize forever and a day. and i know that it seems that we are in between to be the last you wanted forever and a day. and over seven seas be my catastrophe i´m glad the light is bolder forever and a day is over. out to sea come be my blasphemy when you are all in need forever and a day. and after all this time still shift my paradigm. don't let the past rewind. forever and a day. and I know that it seems we starve in endless greed with no velocity forever and a day. and over seven seas be my catastrophe i´m glad the light is bolder forever and a day is over.

all hope is gone, but the lights are simple. stay off the edge, that we used to circle. cut me in half just liked you used to. all that we had is falling backwards. whenever i come back you lie in the tide won´t leave when its over, don´t sever the ties. whenever i come back, you wait in the dark the sky is still heavy it pulls us apart. all future´s past with the lights descending. teach me another slowdance in limbo. cut me in half just liked you used to. all that we had is falling backwards. whenever i come back you lie in the tide won´t leave when its over, don´t sever the ties. whenever i come back, you wait in the dark the sky is still heavy it pulls us apart.

Palau 02:41
when i woke up, i was far ahead and you were lost in bloom. all mischief you webbed in my hair it will betray you soon. still i don´t know what our future holds but it is not for you. the moon is pale before the angry dawn oh when you leave the room. but don´t you leave in awe silent pass the ages. in my relentless heart golden are the cages. when i woke up we were serpentine and all my stones were true no complaints about a vine grown old a riot of the gloom. still i don´t know what our future holds but it is not for you. the moon is pale before the angry dawn oh when you leave the room. so don´t you leave in awe silent pass the ages. in my relentless heart golden are the cages.

about

First drafting ideas on a getaway to a cabin in Brandenburg back in 2016, FLAMINGO combines the strengths of the two members Marius (Guitar, Vocals) and Christoph (Bass, Keys): distinct bass lines, dreamy textures and abstract poetry.

The EPs highlight PALAU is a haunting ballad whose modern production takes nothing away from the intimacy of the song. The opener GUACAMOLE AIRLINES heads into the opposite direction, carried by a hypnotic beat, a cathartic chorus and an unexpected shift towards the outro. Produced by the duo and Ben Esser (Blvth, Noah Slee) FLAMINGO showcases DEKODAs talent between beat-driven arrangements, dynamic songwriting and urban melancholia. Afterall, it is a hommage to their hometown, that influenced and delayed FLAMINGO year after year but eventually made it come to life.
